The tool combines the wavefront of the IOLs, measured on an optical bench, with a personalised aspheric corneal model (radius R, asphericity Q), then computes the through-focus MTF to quantify the real outcome rather than relying on an average eye. Manufacturer-independent and compatible with any biometer or topographer, it makes direct comparison between monofocal, EDOF and multifocal IOLs straightforward.
