Créée en 1985, cette conférence rend hommage à l’esprit pionnier du Dr Charles D. Kelman (1930–2004), inventeur de la phacoémulsification, dont l’héritage continue d’inspirer l’innovation en ophtalmologie. Depuis 2003, la conférence porte son nom en reconnaissance de son impact considérable sur la discipline.
Established in 1985, the lecture pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of Dr. Charles D. Kelman (1930–2004), inventor of phacoemulsification, whose legacy continues to inspire innovation in ophthalmology.
