Je suis heureux d’annoncer la parution d’un numéro spécial dans les revues Optics Express / Biomedical Optics Express, intitulé : « Improving Vision with Intraocular Lenses »
Ce projet éditorial a été lancé en hommage à Jim Schwiegerling, professeur d’optique à l’Université d’Arizona. Jim fut un membre très apprécié de la communauté des opticiens biomédicaux.
J’ai eu l’honneur de participer à ce projet en tant que co-rédacteur invité, aux côtés de Susana Marcos, Pablo Artal, Geunyoung Yoon et Linda Lundström, et de co-signer l’article introductif avec Nathan Lewis (Alcon), rendant hommage à la contribution scientifique et humaine de Jim.
Ce numéro réunit 19 articles originaux et de synthèse, explorant les avancées récentes en matière de conception, simulation et évaluation des lentilles intraoculaires.
