Keratoconus explained
Contrary to what is taught in treatises or by many specialists, keratoconus is a condition of mechanical origin, caused by excessive eye rubbing.

I would like to thank Prof. Gatinel greatly for developing this theory, and for taking the time to document its application in the conservative treatment of keratoconus patients.
Having recently been diagnosed with keratoconus, I encountered the « No Rub, No Cone » conjecture for the first time after independently researching the condition. After implementing the conservative treatment options advocated by Prof Gatinel, I have been able to stabilise my condition without the need for any surgical intervention. This has been confirmed by stable corneal topography scans over the course of more than a year.
